Adopted

A jew hiding in a basement during Nazi-ruled Germany asks a little girl if she could tell him how the world looks outside. She takes one look and tells him that the weather is cloudy. He shakes his head in dissatisfaction and prompts the girl to look again and tell him what it looks like to her. He asks her to make the word hers. The words her eyes would say if they could speak.

For me, that's the best description of what is a story. It is a journey with incidents that you might have never seen or experienced or perhaps that you might relate to, described in an individual's perspective. No matter what format it is presented in a movie, a book, a drama, a webtoon, a manga, a podcast, a radio, a Netflix series or the treasures of all the grandmas around the world. As a story is a story regardless of the means by which it's told.

But sometimes, the story itself is so good that it crosses the borders of its original source and gets a chance to relive in a new form. Some people know how to appreciate it and some just can't develop feelings for the new adopters. Either way, I am glad that nothing stops these adaptations and we get to appreciate the story's retelling. Also, I am sure so is the case with Korean drama makers as they have often taken upon the task of adapting stories from webtoons and mangas.

Hence, I present to you a list of some dramas that you might like to give a try:
